Matt Nicholas
C.E.O.
Matt is an Army Corp. of Engineers Graduate from Ft. Belvoir Virginia in the study of Geodetic & Topographical Surveying. After gaining experience as a chainman for several years Matt graduated for Civil Design and moved into a mapping department were he was involved with various projects. Some of which were Ritter Ranch & SummerWind which were very massive Sub-Divisions in the southern California area. Matt went to learn under various engineers as a civil design tech. 1 & 2. Matt has been a Party Chief on various projects and has also coordinated several projects to completion. Matt has also Graduated with a four year degree in business entrepreneurship.
William S. Calkins
Senior Surveying Department Manager/Owner
Steve Calkins has over forty years’ experience in boundary and topographic surveying, construction surveying, entitlement planning and engineering and subdivision mapping.
He has operated his own surveying firm as well as served as Office Manager, Survey Director and Mapping Director of local and national engineering and surveying firms. Mr. Calkins has completed Projects such as: National Park Service Topographic surveying and construction staking for 11 mile rehabilitation project for State Highway 178 in Death Valley between Bad Water and Shosone. Federal Highway Administration Topographic surveying and construction staking for Coast Ridge forest road rehabilitation project stretching from Big Sur, southerly to Fillmore, California. Cleveland National Forest Construction staking of various trailhead improvement projects providing restrooms, picnic facilities and parking improvements. Inyo National Forest Topographic surveying, engineering and construction staking for Mt. Whitney Visitor Center parking complex, Lone Pine, California. City of Perris, California Contract Surveyor for City for design surveying and construction staking of Nuevo Road, Harley Knox Blvd., Perris Blvd., and Clayton Ave. Also, performed map checking As City Surveyor. East Valley Water District, Highland, California Construction staking of approximately six miles of water system rehabilitation. Lake Arrowhead Community Services District Construction staking of numerous sewer and water system rehabilitation projects.
Dale Dunlap
Senior Engineering Department Manager/Owner
Dale R. Dunlap, P.E., possesses over 20 years of experience in transportation design, land development, and other civil engineering disciplines. He has held project management responsibilities for design of new state highways, local streets, and associated bridge structures, as well as grading and drainage. He has been instrumental in the preparation of planning studies for public improvements on the state highway system and local government transportation facilities. Mr. Dunlap has also been the consulting engineer project manager in the preparation of planning for diverse transportation projects for state and local authorities, including the design of freeway and local roadway alignment and geometrics, grading and drainage, construction staging, and traffic handling. In addition, he has undertaken the role of principal-in-charge of land development projects such as retail centers, private universities, and residential developments, including wet utilities. Mr. Dunlap has hands-on experience in the design of seismic retrofits for unreinforced masonry structures in the City of Los Angeles, as well as structural engineering responsibility for the design of steel, reinforced concrete, masonry, and timber structures for diverse projects such as schools, office, and commercial developments.
Dave Eisenbeisz
Engineering Department Co- Manager/Owner
Dave has over 20 years of experience investigating, reconstructing and analyzing accidents involving all models of transportation. ACTAR registration #1584. Experienced in the inspection of vehicles and the roadway environments for defects related to the causation of traffic accidents. Dave has vast knowledge of the Caltrans traffic manual, the Caltrans highway design manual, Ca MUTCD, AASHTO roadside design guide, AASHTO policy of geometric design of highways and streets, along with many other design and safety references. Dave has been both a chainman and party chief. Dave also has 20+ years of autocad experience as well as many years of experience in microstation.OUR MISSION
